Crazy Times

I'm sorry that there aren't any pictures with this post! The camera is packed away in December's suitcase, and she's sleeping in her room, so I don't want to disturb her to get the pictures downloaded onto the computer. Camping last week was alot of fun! December loved it, and though it was difficult to keep such a constant eye on her outside, we all had a great time. December's aunties were very kind, and they watched December while I got out to float down the river and go golfing. What fun! I had never been golfing before, and I'm completely horrible at it. Brad, his brother, and his dad all hit the ball once in the distance it takes me to hit the ball four or five times. I had a great time, though! The rest of the visit was great. My friend Shannon organized a barbeque in the park with a bunch of our high school friends, so that was great fun, too.

We arrived home yesterday. December was awesome on the two flights -- she even napped on second flight and was asleep for almost the whole flight! It was wonderful. This morning we went and picked up the U-Haul. Our brother-in-law Craig and some friends from church are coming later today to help us start packing it, and the rest of my brothers and dad are coming tomorrow morning to help finish packing.

December had her 18-month checkup a few days before we left to visit Brad's family. While we were there, the doctor noticed something strange with December's right eye while he was examining it. He wants her to see an eye specialist about it. Her appointment is set for August 23. We were hoping to move before that, but now we will leave as soon as her appointment is finished on the 23rd. We hope she's okay!

So life is on the more stressful end right now...I'll keep updating December's blog when I get a chance to rest, though!

Cars, Cats, and Computers

Here's December in a pedal car. Isn't it such a neat car?!

December loves to chase around Zo (the cat in the picture) and Benji (the dog). She likes them alot more than they like her, though! :)

We got December some movies for the plane ride. Here December is watching some of a Sesame Street movie

Auntie Rebekah started eating ice cream, and she immediately found herself surrounded by ice cream craving babies.

Pictures of December and Caden

Here is December waiting for the pool to get filled up

Caden and December are super excited to go swimming!

They play together quite well!

They're both excited about something or other in this picture!

Visiting Brad's Family

Linda, the girl who lives upstairs in our house, has a hibiscus plant -- this is one of the flowers. Isn't it gorgeous? They only bloom for one day, and then they wilt.

December is learning how to go down stairs by herself! This is her concentrating very hard. I took this picture the day before we left...all the packing got finished, though I was up until almost 2:00am to do it. I took a little break from packing around midnight, because that's when someone accidentally (drunkily?) drove his truck into one of our neighbor's houses. That was quite the excitement!

Brad and I arrived safely yesterday evening, and we had a fun night with everyone last night. I was worried about December, because as you know she has such a hard time sleeping anywhere but her own bed. Last time we were here (in January), it was a complete nightmare! Once we were able to hold her to sleep and slip her into her bed (many were our woes if she happened to wake up while we slipped her into bed), she would wake up so many times during the night I would lose count. Each time we'd have to get up, hold her until she fell asleep in our aching arms, and lay her back down again. It was pretty difficult. BUT, last night, she went to bed absolutely perfectly and slept through the entire night!! YAY! Life is good. One of the cats slipped in while I was checking on her last night (unbeknownst to me), and a little later, I heard a cat meowing loudly. I went to check up on the sound, and it was coming from December's room! The cat was stuck inside her room and clearly wanted out...but December didn't even stir! It was great.

All next week we will be camping with Brad's family, so I won't be able to update the blog, unfortunately. But as soon as we get back, I'll show you lots of pictures!
