Some of December's Quirks

Here is one of December's quirks: she believes the vacuum is a thundering black hole, able to consume absolutely every toy she holds dear. Whenever I vacuum, she scurries around, gathering her favorite toys in her arms until she can't hold any more.

Here December has rescued three helpless stuffed animals and one book from their horrifying fates.

Once she has her armful, she retreats somewhere safe and sets them down, protectively sitting next to them. The safe place she usually chooses is between Brad and I's bed and the wall (this stretch of carpet tends to not get vacuumed as much as the rest of the apartment...as you might imagine).

Another of December's quirks: one of her favorite places to sit is in a basket. Maybe we should have named her Mosesina.

She gathers her toys, dumps them into a basket, then crawls in after them. She is content to sit in here and play for a long time -- especially if she has a good book to read!

Her latest quirk: she thinks her babies are always on the verge of freezing to death. She opens the dresser drawer that houses all of her blankets, removes one, and gives it to me, along with a baby. Each doll (and a few assorted bears) must have a blanket on at all times. Should a blanket happen to fall off, the problem must be fixed immediately!

Here she is giving her dolls kisses (this isn't a quirk; this is just cute)
